Mt. Annapurna-Mt. Dhaulagiri Panorama (Ghorepani) Trekking a short duration adventure of great combination with scenic views and soaking into local cultures around hill within Ghorepani and Ghandruk villages, populated by hill tribes Gurung and Poon / Magar people.
Walk starts with short drive from beautiful Pokhara city blessed with verdant valley and serene lakes located on the laps of Annapurna Himalaya where short drive takes you to starting point of the treks.
As walk progress with climb visiting nice hill villages and into dense woodland to reach at famous Ghorepani village inhabited by Poon / Magar people where next morning climb takes you on top Poon Hill, on the highest spot of the journey at 3,210 m high facing stunning sunrise over range of mountains from Dhaulagiri-Annapurna to Manaslu with majestic Machhapuchare Himal ‘The Fish Tail’.
Enjoying great moments then head back to lower warm areas taking an alternative scenic route visiting large Gurung village at Ghandruk and then finally completing our adventure in beautiful Pokhara after a glorious time and experience on Mt. Annapurna-Mt. Dhaulagiri Panorama (Ghorepani) Trekking.

– Morning overland journey to Pokhara of near 6 hrs drives either in a tourist bus, charted coach or in cars as per the size of the group.
– The journey leads on main Kathmandu and Pokhara highway past many farm villages and town with views of snow-capped mountains till you reach at Pokhara, after having lunch on route.
– At Pokhara transfer to your hotel by the lakeside of Phewa with time for a short walk with a view of peaks and lake and preparation for the trek next morning
– Dinner either in respective hotels or outside restaurants near the lakeside (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Pokhara by air from Kathmandu)
After pleasant overnight stop in Pokhara, morning a short drive to reach the starting point of the trek at Nayapul town or from Bhirethati village, a nice place on the side of Modi River, where walk starts heading with slow uphill into villages overlooking cascading waterfalls entering forest and farm areas with climb to reach at Tirkhedhunga for overnight stop, a nice farm village close to its beautiful waterfalls.
From Tirkhedhunga morning walk up hill on stone paved steps all the way to reach a high ridge top at Ulleri village for overnight stops after a tough walk of few hours. Ulleri a large Gurung and Magar village facing views of rolling hills and snow capped peaks of Annapurna South, Huin Chuli and top of Machhapuchare Himal.
From Ulleri on winding gentle path within oaks-pines and rhododendron forest, slowly gaining altitude then reach at Ghorepani village. Ghorepani offers fantastic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Vara-Shikar also called Annapurna Fang, the village with blue painted houses serving as good lodges located at the base of Poon Hill, populated with Poon people of Magar ethnic tribe.
Morning before breakfast start the climb to Poon Hill, starting early morning hour hike to Poon-Hill above 3,210 m and 10,531 ft high, offers stunning views of the sunrise over range of mountains from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna and as far to Ganesh Himal including Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail”.
After enjoying wide-angle panorama views of mountains with a sunrise walk back to Ghorepani and then continue trek to Tadapani, our route leads to a climb into enchanting rhododendron forest all the way to Tadapani for overnight stops,
Tadapani situated in the middle of rhododendron, magnolia and oaks forest with a fabulous view of Mt. Machhapuchare and Annapurna South peaks.
Morning after breakfast walk leads into forested areas and downhill to reach Ghandruk village for lunch and overnight stop at Ghandruk after few hours of good walk, with time here in the afternoon free to explore around Gurung village at Ghandruk and its small interesting museum.
Ghandruk one of the largest Gurung villages around Annapurna Himalaya and route to many trekking and adventure destination.
From Ghandruk heading downhill on nice stone steps to reach low warm farm areas at Syali village, and follow Modi River to reach back at Bhirethati and Nayapul for exciting short drive to scenic Pokhara by its calm Phewa Lake.
Morning after breakfast drive takes you back at Kathmandu, taking about 5-6 hrs on same busy highway back to Kathmandu, during journey observe Nepalese country life within farm villages and town, reaching Kathmandu transfer to hotel with evening free at leisure
